David Jimenez currently works for the West Texas High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area- Southwest Border. Education: Master of Art (MA), Webster University Certifications: CICA (IALEIA), IFPC (DoD Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification) David Jimenez has more than 27 years of experience with federal law enforcement intelligence and is currently serving as a Strategic Intelligence Analyst with the West Texas HIDTA in El Paso, Texas. He is a Penn State instructor for GEOG 885: Advanced Analytic Methods for Geospatial Intelligence. David is a Criminal Intelligence Certified Analyst with the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts, and was conferred the Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification with DoD. He also served as an intelligence professional with the United States Air Force and retired after 24 years of service in 1994. David received his BS in Management and Human Resources from Park University, and his MA in Human Resource Development from Webster University. David has been an analyst with the military, federal law enforcement, and current position for a total of 50 years, and an IALEIA member since 1996. Since June 2021, David has volunteered to help Texas-based IALEIA members with career aspirations and opportunities while promoting training events to help enhance analytic skills. Dr. Bel Pedroza currently works for the Pflugerville Police Department. Education: Bachelor of Science (MS), University of North Texas; Master of Science (MS), Tiffin University; Doctor of Criminal Justice (SCJ), National University. Certifications: Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Instructor; Certified Cyber Crime Intelligence Analyst. Dr. Bel Pedrosa began her career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) before working for the Texas Department of Public Safety, and ultimately serving as the Crime Intelligence Analyst with Pflugerville PD. Bel has spent 12+ years working in Criminal Justice/ Law Enforcement, and been an IALEIA member since 2016. Bel helped start the IALEIA Lonestar Chapter as the VP. She believes that Texas is the greatest state in the U.S. with law enforcement analysts and in bringing an IALEIA Chapter to Texas, like-minded intelligence analysts are able to come together across the state and have someone who understands them and speaks their language. Lindy Pape currently works for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. Education: Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA), American Military University Lindy has been in the field for 3 years and a part of IALEIA since 2022. She has always felt called to serve the communities in which she is a part of including IALEIA and in such she has served as a Chapter Officer for a year. Areas of Expertise/Interest: Counterintelligence-Intelligence Operations
Crystal Martinez currently works for the Dallas Regional Fusion Center. Education: Bachelor of Arts (BA), University of North Texas; Master of Science (MS), University of North Texas Crystal’s work history includes non-profit and social work as well as teaching. She has worked with those who have intellectual and physical disabilities within the classroom and in the community. Previously working for CPS as an investigator and then for a non-profit who assisted immigrants and refugees. She taught criminal justice part-time as an adjunct at community colleges. Eventually transitioning into a career as an analyst within local law enforcement and serving in her current role since 2021. Crystal has been an IALEIA member and served as a Senior Criminal Intelligence Analyst since 2021. Serving as the Treasurer of IALEIA Lonestar Chapter since October of 2023, Crystal wanted to play a greater role in the organization that she believes is a great does great things. Areas of Expertise/Interest: behavior threat assessment and management, special events and threat monitoring, domestic violent extremism and hate crimes, and animal cruelty.
